City Car Share
City Car Share is a nonprofit that provides people with access to cars when and where they need them. Members are given an electronic key, which makes getting a car simple. Just reserve online, chose a pick up location, and your key will work for any car. There’s no deposit, no set up cost, and no monthly charge. Members pay a $60 annual fee. Consumer Assistance Program The Assistance Program provides financial aid to help pay for emissions-related repairs to enable vehicles to pass their smog check inspection; you must be low income to qualify. If you don’t think your vehicle is worth repairing, you can retire it and receive $1,000. To find an approved CAP service station near you visit the Bureau of Automotive Repairs.
Vehicle Buy Back Program Information The Bay Area Air Quality Management District's Vehicle Buy Back Program pays $650 for an operating and registered 1987 and older vehicle. To qualify your vehicle must pass its smog check evaluation. To schedule an appointment, or to verify eligibility, call:
