Find out how many gallons per flush your toilet(s) use by checking for a label in back of the seat or in the tank. If you can't find a label, perhaps you know the approximate date when the toilet was installed. Pre 1950's toilets typically use 7.0 gallons per flush; 1950's-1992 toilets tend to use 3.5 gallons per flush; 1992 to current typically use 1.6 gallons per flush.
