ProgramsRead about our success in 2009In 2009 more than 250 small businesses, non-profits, and modest-sized cities reduced their electricity use by upwards of seven megawatts when called upon one sunny day in July. By temporarily turning off unneeded devices, these participants lowered their utility bills and avoided polluting air and greenhouse gas emissions. On average participants cut their electricity use by 16 percent, with some reducing their energy consumption by more than 25 percent. In return for their efforts the following enterprises will share in more than $105,000 of payments.
